Overall Depth

The distance in inches from the front of the furniture to the back, as measured against a wall. Many pieces have a slanted outside back; this dimension includes the point farthest from the front, even if that point is up along the top edge of the back. The overall depth also includes any curves or extensions of the front, such as some pieces that may have a slight outward bend around the front of the arms.
